Polymer and ceramic are both membrane modules for water and wastewater. The right one depends on the feed, the clean, and how long you want the module to live.

Polymer

On-Board Scour. The municipal MBR cassette. Mixed liquor. A real plate. People who already want a flat sheet start here.

Ceramic

You can backwash it. Oils and aggressive chemicals. Very long life, municipal plants included. SiC or alumina, flat sheet or tube.

Why it stays clean

Every plate gets the same scour.

Uniform water velocity between each plate. Dedicated valve. Same velocity, same scour on every plate.

Plates have room to scour. They are 41.2 in (1,047 mm), so the top of the plate stays clean. Channels stay open. You stay out of the tank.

The polypropylene support plate holds the Thermo Fisher PES sheet. The plate is lightened with a blowing agent. PP is a lighter American-made polymer, from American natural gas.

Sheet is 0.04 µm PES. Spontaneously wettable. Store wet or dry. No glycol.
